Following the announcement of the death of Queen Elizabeth II, much of the nation of the United Kingdom poured out in a state funeral and constant tributes to their head of state for more than 70 years. Disagreements aside, the general feeling was one of grief and sadness at the loss of a peerless leader, and of concern for the future of the country. Hundreds of thousands of people paid tribute to the queen in different parts of the country, which has been in official mourning for 10 days since her death.
